Brazilian Music Friday Feature #12

This week I had to pick a song to tie in with the holidays - Bate o Sino AKA Jingle Bells. In Portuguese they have entirely different lyrics - see here if you’re interested in comparing.

As a piano teacher who has heard Jingle Bells thousands of times, I wouldn’t be sad if I never heard it again, but I really like this version! (I may be biased toward Brazilian rhythms.)

The store Luigi Bertolli did this project to feature musicians from the 4 corners of Brazil, and there’s one other video that they also have up on YouTube:

For some other holiday music I've been listening to, check out yesterday's post.

Next week, I’ll be taking a break from regular posts - happy holidays and see you in 2017!
