Piano lessons for all ages + abilities in Berkeley, CA

I provide an encouraging, student-centered, and well-rounded musical education that helps students develop a lifelong love of music.

I customize lessons with students’ interests in mind, and we cover many styles from classical to jazz to pop and more.

I take a current, well-rounded approach, balancing the development of the eye (reading music), the ear (playing by listening and improvising), and the mind (creativity and composing) - essential for truly learning to speak the language of music!

As of 2026, I am delighted to have 23 years of teaching experience, and became Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) via the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) in 2017.
