EXTRA OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
APPI Fall Educational Field Trip: Butch Thompson Concert and Meet & Greet, December 8, 2018. Cost: $5.00/student, $12.00/adult, $8.00/Jazz Society members; register by November 16, 2018.
APPI Winter Educational Field Trip: Capoeira Academy Workshop, February 23, 2018. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art that combines music, martial arts, dance, and culture. Cost: $15.00; register by February 1, 2019.
APPI Performance Class, February 24, 2019. This masterclass is designed for intermediate and advanced students ages 12-18. Memorization is not required, and students may attend even if they do not wish to perform. Pizza reception to follow! Cost: $5.00; register by February 15, 2019.
APPI Piano Festival, April 13, 2019. Students perform in a positive, non-competitive setting and receive constructive feedback from judges. Memorization is optional. Cost: $16.00; register by March 15, 2019.
APPI Composition Festival, April 13, 2019. Student compositions are evaluated by a professional judge in a non-competitive, positive way. On the day of Festival, written evaluations will be provided and the judge will be available to meet with students individually. Cost: $20.00; register and turn in your composition by March 15, 2019.
