Brazilian Music Friday Feature #25

This week's pick is Elis Regina, one of the best Brazilian singers ever, and also one of the most famous. I listed her performance of Aguas de Março in my very first Brazilian music post (10 Brazilian Songs I Love), but she hasn't gotten her own feature yet, which is silly - she's one of my favorites!

Sadly, Elis passed away in 1982, but her daughter Maria Rita has a thriving career as a singer - I featured her here.

Below is the composer of the song, Edu Lobo, performing it on German TV in 1966.

Enjoy the song, and your weekend!
