Brazilian Music Friday Feature #21

Today's pick is honor of the Portela samba school, who won at Carnaval this year for the first time in 33 years, but also has been champion the most times (22) of any samba school! Below is their song Quem Nunca Sentiu O Corpo Arrepiar ao Ver Esse Rio Passar (Who Never Felt the Body Shiver When Seeing that River Pass). The lyrics talk about Brazilian legends of rivers, and their floats honored different rivers such as the Nile and the Mississippi, with a message of preservation.
